("ZuiGe, I actually know of many church people who buy cars and holidays with church donation money. Also, I do belive churches prey on peoples' good natures' and empty lives to further thier profits. Have you ever seem the pope mobile? That thing is BLING!" - Enoll)
O, that kind of christians... Yea, might be so... I'm not one of 'em. I think you're generalizing. Not all christians are like that. There are many different churches in the christian community. Like for excample the Catholic church, yea... their leaders use church donation money for really earthly stuff like cars or holidays. Nah... it's not like that in charismatic churches... In our congregation we spend the money on fixing the church building or on missionary work. We don't even collect taxes like some churches... i just think that's stupid. The way you see all christian people is wrong in most cases.
Mate this review has nothing at all to do with the film, it's the equivalent of spam so I'll be reporting it.
But I don't want you to think I'm copping out and that this is an admission that you're right. I'm assuming you've thought about this - maybe I'm wrong - but if you have you'd realise I'm clearly not saying that ALL Christians are greedy, or misuse scripture for what you call "really earthly stuff like cars". It's a generalization, clearly. But it still happens - you admit that yourself in that example of the Catholic Church. And as long as it's still happening, and this is behaviour being used by Christians, how is this a criticism? It's absurd. You say yourself that Christians don't act like this "in most cases", which means they do in some cases. You're still with me? this is where the funny part kicks in.
You go on to say, and I quote "[Catholic] leaders use church donation money for really earthly stuff like cars or holidays. Nah... it's not like that in charismatic churches..."
Obviously not all Catholics spend their donation money on cars, but some do, and you've said that too. So we're operating on the same level here - generalizing isn't an argument you can use.
Now! Charismatic churches!
Ever heard of Marjoe Gortner, who blew the lid on the lucrative BUSINESS of evangelism? Peter Popoff, who went bankrupt after his 'faith healing' was debunked on national television in 1987? Keep in mind the BANKRUPT part. Jim Bakker (who actually went to PRISON for what you refer to as earthly stuff)? What about Oral Roberts? "Give me 8 million dollars or God will kill me".
I'm ignoring the questionable teachings of the charismatic church in the first place.
If you want to argue this point go ahead, but PM me. It's annoying having you leave irrelevant reviews - but probably more annoying for you, because if you want to make this little discussion public it might end up embarrassing you buddy.
That's really just made up. We christian people aren't like that. I assume that you dont really know any christian people. If that's what you think of them, you dont know how wrong you are. Other than that stereotype message of this animation, it was ok. I guess...
"ZuiGe, I actually know of many church people who buy cars and holidays with church donation money. Also, I do belive churches prey on peoples' good natures' and empty lives to further thier profits. Have you ever seem the pope mobile? That thing is BLING!" - Enoll
This is the sort of flash, that can be watched. I like flashes, that are sort of random, but still have some quality, good job! I hope i'll see some more of your work in the future ^^
...Finish this!
This looks really promising. I hope, that you'll find the time to complete this with the same quality, the teaser has. I'm looking forward for your cartoons in future.
Of course i will mate :). i want to finish this, but for the moment, i need someone with lots of WWII as i said, so i can do the series based in real events.
I'll try to finish Chapter 1 as soon as i can (even though i haven't started it :P)
